Youth Agriculture
Why It Matters

Grenada faces a complex and urgent set of challenges

  • 100% dependence on imported synthetic fertilizers, costing over US $1.3 million annually and contributing to water pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, and soil degradation
  • A nearly full national landfill, with organic waste making up more than 30% of incoming material each year
  • Over 80% of the nation’s food is imported, making Grenada highly vulnerable to global price shocks and supply disruptions
  • Rising demand for natural, local alternatives as farmers, landscapers, and the hospitality sector move toward more sustainable practices

GrenadaGrows is closing the loop-transforming waste into regenerative soil products that restore fertility, support local food production, and reduce environmental harm.

  • Produce premium soil-enhancement products, including compost and soil food
  • Distribute to farmers, gardeners, landscapers, and eco-conscious businesses across Grenada and the wider Caribbean
